Swimming Trust Charity Challenge
21 Jun 2009 19:34

The Swimming Trust are delighted to announce the launch of their very first Charity Challenge and anticipate that swimmers across the UK will be able to take part and help raise essential funds.  Participants will be assured of a fabulous weekend and an experience to remember for ever.  This is an opportunity to do something really different, swimming lakes in the Snowdonia National Park, at the foot of Mount Snowdon.  The Swim Snowdonia Charity Challenge weekend is about challenging oneself to get out of the warm indoor pool and swim in the outdoors, in a stunning location. The event is not a competition, each participant will be encouraged to push themselves as they endure swimming in an environment where they would not normally swim, with schedules arranged to suit both advanced and novice swimmers.
Not everyone has the opportunity to swim, lack of funds, resources, disabilities and opportunity, are just some of the barriers people face. The Swim Snowdonia Charity Challenge has been organised to help raise the profile of the Swimming Trust and support individuals who are less fortunate than those of us who have ample opportunity to swim.
Why not join the Swimming Trust -  on your own or with family, friends, club members or colleagues.  Hosted by SwimTrek, an experienced tour operator and specialist in swimming events, the cost of the weekend is just £95 with a commitment to raise funds for the Swimming Trust through pledged donations from friends and family, or anyone interested in supporting your efforts.
