The ‘Year of the Club’ is about the Region communicating, supporting and attaining the views of the clubs in the Region. It allows the clubs through the website and a series of forums the opportunity to ask questions about the Region, tell the Region what they think of Swim 21, coach education, facilities, and competitions, but also give them a chance to tell the Region what they have achieved as a club and also what they would like to see in the future.
To facilitate this, 4 consultation workshops are being held across the region. These are:
19th March - Lower Press Room, Keepmoat Stadium, Stadium Way, Doncaster, DN4 5JW, 6.30 - 9.00 p.m.
25th March - Benfield Sports College, Benfield Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE6 4NU
6.30 - 9.00 p.m.
26th March - Parkside Suite, John Charles Centre for Sport, South Leeds Stadium,
Middleton Grove, Beeston, Leeds, LS11 7AF 6.30 - 9.00 p.m.
1st April - Pease Suite, Dolphin Centre, Market Place, Darlington, DL1 5RP
6.30 - 9.00 p.m.
All clubs should have received details of these workshops through the post. Please inform the regional office the name of your club representative, and which workshop they will be attending. Please contact Jo Short either by telephone on 01325 481260 or email jo.short@swimming.org, preferably by 14th March 2008.
