There are only a few weeks left to nominate someone you know to be recognised for their volunteer work within the sport.

Following on from the success of the 2006 and 2007 Aquaforce Volunteer Awards, the 2008 celebration looks to recognise more individuals.

The Awards are a celebration of the role that volunteers play within the association and are also an opportunity for the asa to say thank you to the volunteers who give their time and commitment so willingly. 

For 2008, we are pleased to be able to add one new category, with the Young Volunteer Award being added for Under 18’s, with a second category recognising 18-25 year olds who are involved in volunteering.

There are five categories in total:

- Outstanding contribution to club
- Outstanding contribution to county or region
- Long Service Award
- Young Volunteer - under 18 year's old 
- Outstanding contribution by an 18 to 25 year old

All nominations should be made to the Regional Office by 1st July.  After the regional winners are chosen they will automatically be nominated for the National Awards. 

The Region has put together an example citation to be used when nominating someone for an award, which can be used as a guide to completing the nomination form.
