 Managing People

Project North East and Acas are offering the following one day workshop focusing on the issues surrounding Employing and Managing People:

ABC of Supervision: Essential skills for new managers

13th September 2007 - Hirst Welfare Centre, Ashington
21st November 2007 - Bluebird House, Hexham
17th January 2008 - Belle Vue Centre, Hartlepool

This one day course will help supervisors and team leaders become more effective and confident in communicating with and motivating their teams. We will look at the role of a supervisor and the skills you need to be successful in the job. You will learn how to handle the issues which supervisors commonly face.

Managing People - Employment Update

7th November 2007 – MPH, Gateshead
7th February 2008 – Bullion Hall, Chester-le-Street

New employment law and ongoing case law creates a shifting sands environment for employers. We understand how difficult it is for employers to keep abreast of changes yet failure to do so can prove to be expensive in terms of the reputation of your organisation and the potential for Employment Tribunal claims. This training will update you on changes to current legislation and give you a flavour of any new legislation in the pipeline thus protecting you, your staff and your organisation.

For further information and to book your place on either of these Managing People courses, please contact Anne-Maria on 0191 261 6009 or email anne-maria@pne.org

PNE has worked closely with the voluntary sector for the past 12 years to provide programmes for development that are relevant, interesting, informative and fun. If there are areas of training that you feel you would benefit from, please let us know.

Until next time, happy training!
