If you believe that securing public sector contracts is key to the long term sustainability of your organisation, then this is the course for you.

It is aimed at senior managers of VCS organisations based in the North East who believe that public sector delivery will play a key part in the future of their organisation, but have yet to secure contracts.

Supported by the Northern Rock Foundation, the course is delivered by Derek Smith (Action Planning), a leading consultant in this field.

This course will:

• Facilitate participant discussion on the Modernising Government Agenda, expectations of funders and implications for the sector
• Consider the tendering process from initial bid to final evaluation, and share key tips to improve success
• Enable participants to develop their practical bid writing skills
• Equip participants with the skills to develop an evidence based approach with applications

The programme consists of two days training followed by a half day practical workshop where one-to-one support is available.
